English London delftware wet drug / syrup jar Lambeth 1750 apothecary wares

An English , London wet drug jar , Lambeth high street production circa 1750

Cobalt design to the front in the winged cherub and shell pattern central cartouche bears the drug name S:BALSAM , wide spout and handle to the reverse

Condition is good with a slightly reduced foot flare and several firing blows where impurities in the pugged clay have popped in the firing process and all date to the time of manufacture otherwise with no cracks or restoration
